What is the Sunny Dunes Clubhouse?
Sunny Dunes Inc. is a California non-profit corporation formed to serve the Palm Springs area’s LGBTQ+ recovery community and our allies. Groups can rent space at Sunny Dunes for 12-step meetings. The Sunny Dunes Clubhouse is intended to be a safe, comfortable place to gather, whether for a meeting or for events.
Why do we need the Sunny Dunes Clubhouse?
The Sunny Dunes Clubhouse provides a safe, affordable space for 12-step groups to meet in person or online so these groups can focus on their respective primary purpose of carrying the message of recovery. The Clubhouse will also hold social events for our community.
Why should I become a Sunny Dunes Clubhouse supporting member?
Supporting Membership at Sunny Dunes helps ensure the Clubhouse will be around for years to come, and enables us to start a building fund to purchase our own space. Supporting members also have a voice on club governance. They can elect board members and vote in membership meetings. Additionally, supporting members can stand for election to board positions.
How can I support the Sunny Dunes Clubhouse?
Everyone who walks in the door is a member of Sunny Dunes. You can become a supporting member through membership dues, paid annually or monthly, through the Sunny Dunes membership portal. Additional gifts and donations of money, talent and resources are also very much appreciated as we support the LGBTQ+ recovery community.
Are my donations tax deductible?
The Sunny Dunes Clubhouse is a non-profit corporation chartered in California. We are a tax exempt organization as specified by the IRS under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to Sunny Dunes Inc. are deductible under section 170 of the Code.
